Ecosystem Lead- Faith Based Organizations (FBO) Sector
Reporting to the Head of Ecosystem and Value Chain Banking, the Ecosystem Lead shall be responsible for the design, implementation, and overall ownership of the commercial strategy of the business ecosystem. This would be within the Faith Based Organization (FBO) Ecosystem that will cut across Corporate, Retail & Digital Financial services. The ecosystem lead involves a combination of business development, growth, marketing, thought leadership, product development and business model development to optimize business opportunities within an ecosystem whilst ensuring provision of responsive solutions to customer needs within the ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities:
Ecosystem Strategy Development & Execution
- Develop and implement a comprehensive ecosystem banking strategy tailored to the Faith-Based Organizations sector.
- Design tailored financial solutions aligned to the needs of religious institutions, including banking, lending, digital channels, and value chain financing.
Stakeholder Engagement & Relationship Management
- Establish and grow relationships with FBO leadership, umbrella organizations, religious associations, educational arms, and affiliated enterprises.
- Act as the primary liaison between the bank and FBOs, ensuring strong brand positioning and sector trust.
Growth & Revenue Mobilization
- Drive onboarding of FBO accounts and their affiliated institutions (e.g., schools, hospitals, community groups).
- Expand wallet share through cross-sell of KCB products such as LPO financing, working capital loans, digital payments, school fee collection solutions, and more.
Digital & Product Innovation
- Collaborate with product and digital teams to co-create embedded solutions for tithe collections, church member accounts, mobile apps, and SME credit.
- Explore and integrate fintech partnerships to digitize giving, reporting, and community engagement tools for FBOs.
Data-Driven Ecosystem Mapping
- Map and maintain a live database of key FBO value chain actors (suppliers, schools, hospitals, members, affiliated businesses).
- Use data analytics to identify financing gaps and craft targeted sector campaigns.
Internal Alignment & Coordination
- Coordinate with Corporate, Retail, Bancassurance, Mortgage, KCB Foundation and DFS teams for aligned client engagement.
- Champion mirror reporting to ensure fair attribution and cross-unit performance recognition.
Thought Leadership & Advocacy
- Represent KCB in relevant FBO forums, conferences, and sector engagements to grow visibility and impact.
- Provide insights on sector trends, policy shifts, and risks affecting the FBO banking segment.
The Person
For the above position, the successful applicant should have the following:
- Hold a bachelor’s degree from a recognized university.
- Have a minimum of 6 years’ work experience in sales and business development.
- At least 6 years’ experience in relationship and stakeholder management
- At least 3 years’ experience in Faith Based Organizations sector.
- At least 3 years’ experience in Management reporting and presentation
- At least 2 years’ experience in Financial Analysis and Business Performance Analysis
