As the Sales Executive, you will serve as the brand’s commercial ambassador, tasked with strengthening its market position by securing high-yield business segments such as corporate, government, MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences & Events), leisure travel, and brand partnerships. Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development
- Identify and develop new business opportunities across key segments, including corporate clients, government institutions, NGOs, leisure groups, and event organizers.
- Drive revenue through active solicitation of group bookings, MICE events, and long-term corporate agreements.
- Develop and execute tailored sales strategies to promote Acacia Premier Hotel, Nairobi Street Kitchen, and Aspire Centre based on specific client needs and market conditions.
- Design and present compelling proposals, detailed quotations, and customized contracts that align with brand standards and client expectations.
- Conduct client site inspections, showcasing the venues’ capabilities to deliver exceptional events and experiences.
- Foster strategic alliances with event planners, DMCs (Destination Management Companies), travel agents, and other potential partners to increase property visibility and booking conversion.
Account Management
- Maintain and grow a dedicated portfolio of corporate and institutional accounts, ensuring regular engagement and value-added communication.
- Maximize repeat business through excellent service delivery, post-event follow-up, and proactive upselling of other services across the portfolio.
- Maintain consistent interaction with clients via phone calls, in-person meetings, emails, and hospitality events to nurture long-term relationships.
- Liaise with internal operational teams including reservations, banqueting, and culinary departments to ensure seamless coordination and delivery of booked services.
- Manage client expectations throughout the booking and service delivery process, handling any issues promptly and professionally.
Market Intelligence
- Monitor competitor performance, rate trends, and promotional campaigns in both the accommodation and event space segments to position Simba Hospitality competitively.
- Stay abreast of economic, political, and industry trends affecting travel, tourism, and event planning within Kenya and the East African region.
- Proactively research and qualify new leads through industry news, client referrals, trade associations, and networking platforms.
- Develop strategic insights and recommendations to fine-tune sales initiatives and capitalize on emerging opportunities.
Sales Administration & Reporting
- Maintain up-to-date client and sales data using CRM or designated sales databases to ensure proper tracking, follow-up, and analysis.
- Generate weekly, monthly, and quarterly performance reports highlighting KPIs such as revenue, conversion ratios, client feedback, and pipeline movement.
- Maintain meticulous documentation of contracts, sales agreements, communication logs, and client preferences to support relationship continuity and performance reviews.
- Participate in regional and national hospitality trade shows, networking functions, and sales missions representing Simba Hospitality with a high degree of professionalism.
Qualifications and Experience
- Proven work experience in hospitality sales, preferably with exposure to hotel accommodations, events, and F&B outlets.
- Demonstrated success in developing client portfolios and achieving revenue targets across multiple property types or service categories.
- In-depth understanding of Kenya’s travel and hospitality landscape, particularly the dynamics of corporate, government, and leisure markets.
- Previous experience working with CRM systems and preparing detailed reports for management review.
- Strong track record in customer relationship management and converting leads into long-term clients.
