Job Summary
The Finance Assistant will support the Finance Department in executing day-to-day accounting and financial management tasks to ensure accurate reporting and compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. This is a 6-month contract role designed to provide essential support to the Finance team in maintaining efficiency and accuracy in financial operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation and posting of journal entries in the accounting system.
- Support monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial close processes.
- Prepare and reconcile bank statements and other key balance sheet accounts.
- Assist in processing payments to suppliers, agents, and service providers in accordance with company procedures.
- Support the preparation of financial reports, including expense and revenue summaries.
- Maintain and update financial records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
- Assist in reviewing and verifying supporting documents for all financial transactions.
- Provide support in internal and external audits by preparing documentation and responding to audit queries.
- Support compliance with internal financial policies and statutory requirements.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the Senior Manager – Finance to support departmental objectives.
