Role Purpose

The Program Development Manager will support the Impact, Innovation and Influencing Director and other country programme staff in expanding Save the Children’s funding base and partnerships at country level. The position is intended to support the implementation of the Country Strategic Plan by ensuring that programs are adequately resourced and aligned with organizational priorities.

The role plays a critical part in supporting the achievement of Save the Children’s global breakthroughs by coordinating proposal development processes and ensuring that submissions are competitive, timely, and responsive to donor requirements.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

The Program Development Manager will be responsible for:

• Supporting the growth of Save the Children funding and partnerships at country level.

• Contributing to the achievement of the Country Strategic Plan through effective resource mobilization.

• Leading proposal development processes for funding opportunities.

• Ensuring that proposal submissions are responsive to donor requirements.

• Coordinating the development of competitive and high-quality funding proposals.

Role Purpose

The WASH & Construction Engineer (Officer) will be responsible for the design, implementation, monitoring, follow-up, and evaluation of water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) interventions as well as infrastructure construction and rehabilitation projects in communities targeted by Save the Children.

The position is specifically focused on emergency response interventions linked to the Horn of Africa drought crisis. The role will also ensure effective integration of WASH interventions with other core sectors such as nutrition, health, food security, education, and child protection.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

The WASH & Construction Engineer will:

• Design WASH infrastructure projects for targeted communities.

• Support the implementation of water, sanitation and hygiene interventions.

• Coordinate infrastructure construction and rehabilitation activities.

• Monitor project implementation to ensure quality and compliance with technical standards.

The Advocacy & Communications Intern will work under the supervision of the Head of Advocacy, Campaigns, Communications and Media. The position is designed to support the implementation of advocacy, communications, and campaign initiatives aimed at strengthening visibility, influencing stakeholders, and amplifying key organizational messages.

The intern will contribute to research, content development, media engagement, storytelling, and administrative support activities that advance advocacy priorities and public engagement objectives.

The role will also support communication efforts related to humanitarian response operations under the guidance of the Humanitarian Communications Officer.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

The Advocacy & Communications Intern will:

• Support the design of advocacy initiatives and communication activities.

Role Purpose

The MEARL Intern will support Save the Children’s Programme Development and Quality (PDQ) team. The PDQ team leads the development of innovative and high-quality programmes that create lasting and positive change for children.

The team provides technical support and oversight to ensure programme quality and effective implementation across thematic sectors including Nutrition, Health, Education, Child Protection, Child Poverty, Child Rights Governance, and the Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, Research and Learning (MEARL) Unit.

The internship offers an opportunity to gain practical experience in monitoring, evaluation, accountability, research, and learning systems within a large international humanitarian and development organization.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

The MEARL Intern will:

• Support activities within the Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, Research and Learning Unit.
