The County Government of Elgeyo Marakwet, through the County Public Service Board, has announced a major recruitment exercise targeting qualified, results-oriented and self-motivated Kenyan citizens. The vacancies are spread across several county departments and cover technical, professional, administrative, health, agricultural, vocational training and support positions.
The recruitment is being undertaken pursuant to the Constitution of Kenya 2010 and the County Government Act, 2012. Successful applicants will serve in different departments of the County Government of Elgeyo Marakwet depending on the positions for which they are appointed.
The advertised opportunities include positions within the Departments of Roads, Public Works and Transport; Agriculture, Livestock and Cooperatives; Vocational and Technical Training; Health Services; Lands, Physical Planning, Housing and Urban Development; Public Service, Administration, Devolution and ICT; Finance and Economic Planning; Trade, Industrialization and Enterprise Development; Sports, Tourism and Social Services; Water, Environment and Climate Change; and the Office of the Governor.
Most of the advertised positions are offered on three-year contracts. However, the Director of Roads, Public Works and Transport and the Chief Officer for Sports, Tourism and Social Services are indicated as serving under different terms.

The County Government is recruiting four Plant Operators. The officers will be deployed within the Department of Roads, Public Works and Transport.
The role is associated with the operation of county plant and machinery used in the delivery of departmental programmes and infrastructure activities.
