The International Livestock Research Institute (ILRI) works to improve food and nutritional security and reduce poverty in developing countries through research for efficient, safe, and sustainable use of livestock. As the only CGIAR research center dedicated solely to animal agriculture research for the developing world, ILRI operates globally, with headquarters in Kenya and Ethiopia and projects across Asia and Africa.
ILRI is now seeking to recruit a Postdoctoral Researcher on Genome Editing of Theileria parva to contribute to research efforts focused on mitigating the impact of tropical livestock diseases through genome engineering technologies. This position will lead CRISPR-Cas9 genome engineering research on Theileria parva, a parasite responsible for East Coast fever (ECF) in sub-Saharan African cattle.
