Research Assistant – Centre for Intellectual Property and Information Technology Law
The Research Assistant position supports Research Fellows and Junior Research Fellows by assisting with data collection, record-keeping, conducting literature and technical research, drafting manuscripts, analyzing data, and preparing reports.
The role also involves representing CIPIT at webinars, roundtable discussions, workshops, and conferences (both virtual and in-person), ensuring alignment with University strategies, policies, procedures, and funder requirements.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Support data collection through interviews with relevant stakeholders and secondary research via desktop analysis.
- Assist in academic research, manuscript editing, and preparation, as well as contributing to the production of project reports.
- Conduct research across various methods, including archival work, interviews, and online research, as needed to support the supervisor.
- Regularly meet with the supervisor to discuss progress on research tasks and assignments.
- Assist in organizing project-related events, such as workshops, report launches, publications, and the communication of research findings.
