Overview:
We are coordinating the provision of technical assistance to implementing partners that work with one of our clients in Africa. The technical assistance initiative aims to strengthen the resilience, financial sustainability, and social impact of the implementing partners by focusing on key areas of organizational development. We are therefore seeking expressions of interest from qualified consultants to provide technical assistance to implementing partners currently managing education and youth development projects across East, Central and Southern Africa.
The successful consultants will support the implementing partners to build capacity in the following areas:
1.Governance, Strategy, and Risk Management
2.Financial Management, Systems, and Sustainability
3.Programmes, Monitoring, and Evaluation
Consultant Information Requirements:
Consultants are invited to submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) outlining their qualifications and experience in the relevant areas. Submissions should include:
1. Applicant’s Information:
- Full Name, Address, Telephone Contact, and Email Address.
2. Consultant Experience and Relevant Skills:
- A brief summary, of relevant professional qualifications and experience, particularly in education and youth development, governance, financial management, people and performance and/or programmes monitoring and evaluation.
- Details of the consultant’s experience in providing technical assistance to not-for-profit or faith-based organizations, particularly in Africa.
3. Expertise in Relevant Areas:
- Consultants should highlight up to five specific capacity areas where they can contribute. These areas should be selected from the main service categories mentioned above, with a clear focus on how they can support the partners in improving governance, financial sustainability, program evaluation, and overall performance.
4. Specific Initiatives and Value Proposition:
- Consultants should describe how their experience and skills align with the needs of the project, and what specific initiatives they would like to contribute to or lead.
- Consultants should also outline the unique value they will bring to the project if selected.
5.Availability:
- Consultants should provide their availability to begin engagement and expected duration of commitment.
- Indicate preferred contact methods and times for follow-up.
Compensation:
The consultant should indicate the daily expected daily rate, in US Dollars, for the provision of the services above. The consultant will be engaged on a daily rate basis, based on agreed number of days.
