1. Child Rights & Safeguarding Officer (Temporary)
Location: Middle East, Eastern and Southern Africa
Job Purpose:
This role ensures the effective implementation of Plan International’s child safeguarding policies and practices. The successful candidate will work closely with program teams to create a safe environment for children and vulnerable groups.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the development and implementation of child safeguarding policies and procedures.
- Conduct risk assessments and mitigation planning for child safeguarding.
- Provide technical guidance and capacity-building initiatives on child protection.
- Handle child safeguarding concerns and support case management.
- Conduct regular audits and monitoring activities to ensure compliance.
2. Regional Director, MEESA
Location: Middle East, Eastern and Southern Africa
Job Purpose:
The Regional Director provides strategic leadership to ensure the effective implementation of Plan International’s mission in the Middle East, Eastern, and Southern Africa (MEESA) region. The role involves oversight of country programs, strategic partnerships, and high-impact advocacy initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and execution of regional strategic plans.
- Oversee country operations, ensuring program effectiveness and sustainability.
- Foster strong partnerships with government agencies, donors, and key stakeholders.
- Ensure operational excellence, financial oversight, and compliance with global policies.
- Champion gender equality and child rights initiatives within the region.
3. Youth Advocacy Officer
Location: Global Hub – Location Flexible
Job Purpose:
This role focuses on supporting youth-led advocacy initiatives aligned with Plan International’s mission. The Youth Advocacy Officer will work closely with youth networks, civil society, and decision-makers to drive policy changes that empower young people.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement youth advocacy programs and campaigns.
- Support young activists in developing policy proposals and advocacy materials.
- Build partnerships with youth organizations and civil society groups.
- Monitor and evaluate the impact of youth-led advocacy initiatives.
- Represent Plan International in global advocacy forums and discussions.
4. Interim Humanitarian Fundraising Project Lead
Location: Global Hub – Location Flexible
Job Purpose:
The Interim Humanitarian Fundraising Project Lead will manage fundraising efforts to support Plan International’s emergency response programs. This role ensures resource mobilization strategies align with humanitarian needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement emergency fundraising strategies.
- Engage with donors, partners, and funding agencies to secure financial support.
- Coordinate proposal development and donor reporting.
- Monitor funding trends and identify new opportunities.
- Collaborate with program teams to align fundraising with humanitarian priorities.
5. Deployable WASH in Emergencies Specialist
Location: Global Hub – Location Flexible
Job Purpose:
This role ensures effective implementation of Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) interventions in emergency settings. The specialist will be responsible for providing technical support, training, and direct response activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead emergency WASH assessments and response planning.
- Provide technical guidance on water supply, sanitation, and hygiene promotion.
- Ensure compliance with humanitarian standards and best practices.
- Support capacity-building efforts for emergency response teams.
- Represent Plan International in WASH sector coordination meetings.
