Our client, a result driven organisation with over  27 years of experience in multi sectoral investments including manufacturing and innovations sectors across East and Central Africa has internship opportunities for National Youth Service in the following positions;

ELECTRICAL INTERN ( 4 POST)

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• You will be responsible for checking and verifying artworks to be engraved or routed.
• You shall ensure any requests are for the right materials required for each project.
• You will work in ensuring proper use and maintenance of the router machine.
• You are responsible for producing and maintaining high quality work.
• It requires observing and adhering to clients’ timelines.
• You will monitor machine operations and ensure a smooth flow of jobs.
• You will record all jobs done on the router machine.
• You must adhere to all safety measures regarding use of machines and tools.
• You will ensure high quality of finished products.

QUALIFICATION AND REQUIREMENTS

1. Minimum 2 years’ experience as a router machine operator.
2. TVET/Technical Diploma Course in machine operation.
3. Conversant with computer skills
4. High level of integrity, professionalism, and ethical conduct.

CNC MACHINE OPERATOR -WOODWORK INTERN( 3 POST)

The Intern Woodworking will be responsible for setting up, running, and monitoring

machines, ensuring that products meet quality standards and production targets are met.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Set up and operate machinery according to specifications.
• Monitor machine performance and make adjustments as needed to maintain product quality and efficiency.
• Perform all carpentry and wood works in the factory as per customer’s specification
• Create quality wood works;
• Creative with innovative ideas in the wood works department
• Perform routine maintenance on machines, including cleaning, lubrication, and minor repairs.
• Report any major issues to maintenance personnel.
• Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
• Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.

QUALIFICATION AND REQUIREMENTS

1. Diploma or Certificate in CNC Machinery
2. Training in Carpentry woodworks or equivalent.
3. Previous experience, minimum 1 year as a machine operator or in a similar role is preferred.
4. Mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and ability to read and interpret technical manuals and blueprints.
5. Reliable, team-oriented, and able to work independently.

MAINTENANCE  INTERN( 5 POST)

The Maintenance Intern is in charge of servicing machinery, repairing & maintaining machines, installation

of machines and ensuring safety of machinery..

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensuring that electrical related works are carried out properly while observing high quality
• standards.
• Overseeing the implementation of the preventive schedule and troubleshooting.
• Planning and managing stock of spare parts and factory consumables.
• Routine review of breakdowns and repairs.
• Supporting planning of installation and commissioning of new equipment.
• Providing technical support to the Workshop team and Road Track Solutions in service of equipment and repairs
• Reporting on any matter in relation to electrical works.
• Inspection of electrical materials and machines supplied to stores.
• Training of new technical staff (technicians).
• Adhering to all safety regulations when carrying out duties.
• Any other official duties allocated to you by your Line Manager.

QUALIFICATION AND REQUIREMENTS

1. Diploma or Certificate in Electrical and electronics Engineering or maintenance related course
2. Training in machine maintenance with at least one year of experience in machine maintenance 
3. A solid understanding of machine operations.
4. Proven ability to make complex and time-sensitive decisions in the best interests of the.
5. Reliable, team-oriented, and able to work independently.

INTERN FABRICATION-ARC MIG ( 3 POST)

Reporting to the Team Lead, the intern will be responsible for interpreting designs, cutting, shaping, and

assembling Perspex materials, ensuring high-quality standards and precise adherence to project requirements.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Create and assemble products using Perspex according to specifications and design plans
• Utilize various tools and machinery, such as saws, drills, and routers, to cut and shape Perspex materials accurately.
• Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications. Make adjustments as necessary.
• Join Perspex pieces using appropriate techniques and adhesives, ensuring strong and durable bonds
• Maintain and clean tools and equipment regularly. Report any maintenance issues promptly.

QUALIFICATION AND REQUIREMENTS

1. Technical training in Mechanical Production ,Arc and Mig fabrication or related fields;
2. Attention to Detail.
3. Efficient in managing time to meet project deadlines
4. Commitment to following safety protocols and regulations
5. Relevant certifications in fabrication or machining may be beneficial.

CNC MACHINE OPERATOR  ( 5 POST)

Reporting to the Team Leader, TheIntern CNC Machine Operator will be responsible for setting up, running, and monitoring machines, ensuring that products meet quality standards and production targets are met.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Monitor machine performance and make adjustments as needed to maintain product quality and efficiency.
• Perform routine maintenance on machines, including cleaning, lubrication, and minor repairs.
• Report any major issues to maintenance personnel.
• Inspect products for defects and ensure they meet quality standards.
• Take corrective actions if any discrepancies are found.
• Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
• Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.

QUALIFICATION AND REQUIREMENTS

1. Diploma or equivalent in CNC Machine operation
2. Previous experience, minimum 1 year as a machine operator or in a similar role is preferred.
3. Mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and ability to read and interpret technical manuals and blueprints.
4. Reliable, team-oriented, and able to work independently

ELECTRICIAN INTERN  ( 4 POST)

The Intern Electrician will be charged with wiring of signage, billboards, offices, machines and general electrical maintenance..

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensuring that electrical works are carried out properly while observing all quality measures.
• Performing electrical work as per specification by the section head or Factory Manager and project team.
• Ensuring proper maintenance of electrical tools.
• Adhering to all safety regulations when carrying out duties.
• Reporting on any matter in relation to electrical works.
• Site scoping to get the correct requirements and measurements of the materials that will be
• needed for the job.
• Submitting scoping forms to the production supervisor with all the wiring specifications.
• Receiving job cards from the Production Supervisor before beginning any electrical works.
• Preparing wiring designs for projects.
• Liaising with fabricators to design brackets that will provide maximum illumination.
• Requisitioning for electrical materials from the store.
• Preparing materials that should be mounted on the units.
• Wiring of the units and testing of complete units.
• Partial wiring of units that should be completed at site.
• Packaging signage products in preparation for installation.
• Requisitioning materials for site installation.
•  Installing complete signage products.
•  Balancing power consumption.
• Installing controls e.g. timer switch or photocell etc.
• Effecting final termination to power.
•  Occasionally repair machines and electrical faults in the workshop.
•  Any other official duties allocated to you by your Line Manager.

QUALIFICATION AND REQUIREMENTS

1. Certificate/Diploma in Electrical engineering ,electrical installation or electrical related course
2. Minimum 1 years’ experience in Electrical works.
3. A team player with outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
4. Comprehensive understanding of internal and external control environments.
5. Demonstrate a high level of integrity, responsibility and reliability while executing their duties.
6. Proactive, hands-on, results-driven orientation required.
