About the Team
The Data Engineering and Business Intelligence (BI) team plays a critical role in enabling data-driven decision-making across the organization. The team collaborates closely with various internal stakeholders including IT, Information Security, Product Managers, and Project Teams to ensure accurate and accessible data solutions.
Role Purpose
The Data Engineer Intern will support the data team by contributing to projects that involve data pipeline development, reporting, and BI tools under the guidance of senior engineers. The intern will also gain insight into how data is utilized to create meaningful impact across multiple countries and programs.
Key Responsibilities
As a Data Engineer Intern, you will:
- Support BI Development
Assist in building and testing data pipelines and reports with supervision from senior engineers. - Learn and Apply Tools
Gain practical experience with Microsoft BI tools, including Fabric, Power BI, and SQL Server. - Data Quality Support
Help monitor data quality, troubleshoot issues, and support cleansing processes as needed. - Documentation
Contribute to documentation of workflows, data definitions, and processes. - Stakeholder Support
Assist in gathering basic user requirements and maintain communication with internal data users. - Team Collaboration
Participate in regular team meetings, contribute to discussions, and share updates on your progress. - Skill Development
