The 2nd school scholarship campaign will be held from Monday, July 21 to Tuesday, September 23, 2025 inclusive.
NO APPLICATIONS SUBMITTED AFTER SEPTEMBER 23 (FILE DEADLINE) WILL BE CONSIDERED.
As a reminder, this second campaign concerns:
the first requests from families who have recently moved to the constituency (after the deadline for submitting applications for the 1st Consular Council for school grants),
late renewal requests [duly justified] (force majeure: failure of baccalaureate, health reasons, etc.)
requests for review of files submitted during the 1st campaign after decision of the 1st National Commission.

Any file submitted after the deadline is considered INADMISSIBILITY . Any INCOMPLETE file will result in the application being rejected .
Principle
School grants provide financial assistance to families to pay all or part of their tuition fees in French educational establishments run by the Agency for French Education Abroad.
They are allocated based on the financial and asset situation of families , their composition and the financial burden of schooling on the family budget. They are paid directly to the educational establishment .
Award criteria
The criteria for awarding and calculating the scholarships are set by the Agency for Teaching French Abroad
A child of French nationality, registered in the register of French people living outside France, must reside in the consular district with one or both parents and be enrolled in a French school. Children enrolled in a nursery school must be 3 years old in the calendar year in question to be eligible.
Calendar
The second scholarship campaign begins in July. It concerns children who have recently moved to the district and are due to start school in September of the current calendar year.
The application process is now carried out directly online at https://scolaide.aefe.gouv.fr/ : families can submit their application and upload all supporting documents directly. Tutorials are available to assist you in the process.
In case of difficulties, it is still possible to submit a paper application with all supporting documents to the French Embassy in Kenya before September 23, 2025.
Families will be able to track the progress of their file from their personal space on Scolaide.
The Consular Scholarship Council meets for a second time in October . It only considers applications from families who came to settle in Kenya after the deadline for submitting applications for the first meeting or who are already settled in the constituency but whose financial situation has changed significantly since the end of the first scholarship campaign or who request a review of the decision taken at the end of the first scholarship campaign.
The National Scholarship Commission meets in December . Families are notified in January. No applications from families already settled in the constituency, who have not submitted their application at the first meeting of the commission, may be accepted at the second local meeting (except in duly justified cases of force majeure).
In all cases, applications for school grants must be renewed each year for each child concerned.
