Laboratory Technologist
Qualifications required
i) Diploma in Medical Laboratory Sciences from a recognized institution
ii) A minimum of 2 years of experience working in a busy biomedical laboratory
iii) Registered by Kenya Medical Laboratory Technicians and Technologists Board
(KMLTTB)
Responsibilities and tasks
i. Preparation of laboratory reagents
ii. Processing of biological samples, laboratory supply inventory management, storage and
shipment of biological samples
iii. Perform microscopic parasitological diagnosis of malaria
iv. Perform full blood count using automated analyser
v. Perform full biochemistry analysis using automated analyser and point of care devices
vi. Perform other laboratory assays as per protocol and relevant Standard Operating
Procedures (SOPs)
vii. Maintaining of quality control procedures in all assays performed
viii. Development of laboratory SOPs
