Early Post Doctoral Researcher -Yellow Fever
Key Responsibilities:
- •Coordination of sampling, sample shipment and other study procedures
- •Perform immunological assays
- •Develop or adapt assays for the assessment of yellow fever antibodies and other emerging pathogens
- •Adapt existing and develop new scientific techniques and experimental protocols
- •Provide supervision and training support for junior lab members
- •Collaborate in the preparation of scientific reports and journal articles and occasionally present papers and posters
- •Manage own academic research and administrative activities. This involves small scale project management, to co-ordinate multiple aspects of work to meet deadlines
- •Use specialist scientific equipment in a laboratory environment
- •Generate, analyse and keep an updated record of all the experimental results
- •Collaborate with internal and external partners in immunology and vaccine development
- •Perform any other comparable duties as may be required to ensure the efficient running of the laboratory
- •Be responsible with others for the biological safety of the laboratory
