International Centre for Reproductive Health Kenya (ICRHK) is a Kenya-based Non-Governmental organization. ICRHK conducts research and intervention projects in Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH). Some of the specific areas of focus for ICRHK include HIV/STI prevention and treatment, addressing Sexual and Gender-based violence (GBV), improving Maternal and Child Health, promoting Family Planning, and addressing the needs of Adolescents in terms of Sexual and Reproductive Health through research.
Job Summary
We invite applications for the position of Resident Enumerator (RE) to be based in Meru (5) and Tharaka-Nithi Counties (5) for the What Works Project within the assigned County. The successful candidates should be highly motivated individuals with expertise and experience in collecting research data.
Responsibilities
The Resident Enumerator is responsible for;
- Ethical data collection using digital tools provided e.g. REDCap
- Accurate and complete data entry during interview sessions
- Submission of completed survey forms after each interview
- Monitoring and tracking daily data collection targets against set timeliness
- Submission of daily progress reports to the County Field Supervisor.
Requirements
- Must have completed secondary school education – KCSE and attained a minimum grade of C- and above.
- Prior experience in field data collection or similar roles is an asset.
- Familiarity with digital data collection tools, especially REDCap.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and responsibly under minimal supervision.
- High regard for research ethics, integrity, and confidentiality
- Proficiency in using a smart phone is a MUST.
- Knowledge of community engagement strategies and cultural sensitivity.
- Flexibility to work irregular hours and travel to various locations as required
- Additional training after secondary education especially in ICT will be an added advantage.
