1. Team Lead, Financial Crime and Compliance
The Team Lead, Financial Crime and Compliance is responsible for overseeing the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the institution’s financial crime compliance framework. The role supports the organization in managing exposure to money laundering, terrorist financing, fraud, sanctions risks, bribery and corruption, while ensuring compliance with regulatory obligations and internal policies.
The position works closely with internal teams across the business to strengthen controls, monitor emerging risks, and promote a strong culture of compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the implementation and management of the financial crime compliance programme across the organization.
- Develop and review policies, procedures, and controls relating to anti-money laundering (AML), counter-terrorism financing (CTF), sanctions screening, anti-bribery, and fraud prevention.
- Monitor regulatory requirements and ensure the business remains compliant with applicable legal and regulatory obligations.
- Conduct financial crime risk assessments and recommend mitigation actions.
- Review suspicious activity reports, internal investigations, and escalation cases where necessary.
- Support transaction monitoring and customer due diligence oversight.
- Provide advisory support to business units on financial crime matters and regulatory expectations.
- Prepare periodic compliance reports for management, committees, and regulators.
- Coordinate internal compliance reviews, audits, and regulatory examinations relating to financial crime.
- Deliver training and awareness programmes to staff on financial crime compliance requirements.
- Guide and supervise the compliance team to ensure effective execution of responsibilities.
2. Team Lead, Regulatory Intelligence & Compliance Advisory
The Team Lead, Regulatory Intelligence & Compliance Advisory is responsible for monitoring the regulatory environment, interpreting legal and compliance developments, and advising the business on regulatory impact. The role ensures that the organization remains informed, responsive, and aligned with changing regulatory expectations while supporting compliance decision-making across departments.
The successful candidate is expected to provide strategic compliance guidance and help embed regulatory awareness into day-to-day operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor, track, and analyse changes in laws, regulations, circulars, and industry guidance relevant to the business.
- Interpret regulatory updates and assess their operational and compliance implications across the organization.
- Provide advisory support to internal stakeholders on compliance matters and regulatory requirements.
- Lead the preparation and communication of regulatory intelligence updates to management and relevant business units.
- Coordinate implementation plans arising from new or amended regulations.
- Review policies, procedures, products, and business processes to ensure regulatory compliance.
- Support regulatory engagement activities, including preparation of submissions, responses, and correspondence with regulators.
- Provide compliance guidance during product development, strategic initiatives, and operational changes.
- Develop internal awareness initiatives to strengthen understanding of regulatory obligations.
- Prepare compliance reports and updates for leadership and governance committees.
- Support internal audits, regulatory reviews, and compliance assessments where required.
- Supervise team members and ensure timely delivery of advisory and regulatory monitoring activities.
3. Team Lead, Head Office Compliance (Re-advertisement)
The Team Lead, Head Office Compliance is responsible for coordinating compliance oversight across head office functions and ensuring adherence to internal policies, regulatory requirements, and governance standards. The role supports the compliance function in strengthening internal controls, monitoring compliance risk, and promoting ethical business conduct across central operations.
This position works closely with various departments to ensure that compliance obligations are embedded into operational processes and business decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead compliance oversight activities across head office functions and departments.
- Monitor adherence to internal policies, regulatory requirements, and compliance standards.
- Conduct compliance reviews, monitoring exercises, and thematic assessments across assigned areas.
- Identify compliance risks and recommend corrective actions to mitigate exposure.
- Review operational processes and internal controls to assess compliance effectiveness.
- Support implementation of compliance frameworks, policies, and procedures across the business.
- Investigate compliance breaches, incidents, or policy violations and coordinate resolution efforts.
- Prepare compliance monitoring reports, dashboards, and management updates.
- Provide guidance to departments on policy interpretation and regulatory obligations.
- Support internal and external audits, including regulatory inspections and remediation tracking.
- Coordinate staff compliance awareness initiatives and policy communication.
- Lead and mentor team members within the compliance function to ensure effective execution of duties.
