Job Description
- Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer (CEO)
The Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer will serve as the accounting officer and head of management at the Geothermal Development Company. The office holder will provide overall strategic direction, leadership, and management of the corporation while ensuring effective implementation of the Board’s decisions and the achievement of GDC’s strategic objectives.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership and direction for the corporation in line with its mandate.
- Lead the implementation of the Board’s policies, decisions, and strategic plans.
- Oversee the day-to-day management and administration of the organization.
- Ensure prudent management of the corporation’s financial, human, and physical resources.
- Promote sound corporate governance, accountability, transparency, and ethical business practices.
- Drive organizational performance and ensure the achievement of key performance targets.
- Foster stakeholder engagement and maintain productive relationships with government agencies, development partners, investors, and other stakeholders.
- Provide leadership in the implementation of geothermal development projects and related initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, government policies, and corporate governance requirements.
- Represent the corporation in national, regional, and international engagements as appropriate.
- Promote innovation, operational excellence, and continuous improvement across the organization.
- Submit reports and recommendations to the Board regarding the performance and operations of the corporation.
- Provide effective leadership to employees while cultivating a high-performance organizational culture.
