Your Role
The Hardware QA Technician Intern will support the Hardware Quality Assurance (QA) team in validating and verifying KOKO’s innovative hardware products. These products range from smart fuel dispensers to embedded systems and are critical to our mission of delivering clean energy in a safe and efficient manner.
This internship provides an exceptional opportunity to gain real-world experience in hardware QA within a team that values precision, safety, and innovation. You’ll work closely with experienced engineers and technicians while contributing meaningfully to product reliability and testing efforts.
What You Will Do
As a Hardware QA Technician Intern at KOKO, you will:
- Assist in setting up and executing structured test plans for various hardware components in both lab and field environments.
- Operate and manage standard laboratory tools and measurement equipment such as multimeters, power supplies, and environmental chambers under supervision.
- Document observations, test results, and deviations clearly and systematically to support QA reporting.
- Adhere strictly to lab safety protocols and quality control guidelines to ensure a safe and efficient working environment.
- Collaborate with QA engineers to flag, investigate, and escalate anomalies observed during testing processes.
- Play a part in improving test procedures and documentation, ensuring data accuracy and consistency.
- Maintain the QA lab setup and infrastructure, ensuring it is always ready for testing and development projects.
This is a hands-on role where you’ll build technical and analytical skills in a supportive environment that encourages learning and curiosity.
What You Will Bring
To thrive in this internship, the following background and skills are expected:
- Degree (or currently pursuing) in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or a related engineering discipline
- Basic familiarity with electro-mechanical systems, including assembly and troubleshooting
- Ability to use lab equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and regulated power supplies
- Skills in safe handling and assembly of electronic and mechanical components
- Competency in basic data analysis using spreadsheets or entry-level dashboards
Other Key Skills:
- High attention to detail with a methodical and systematic approach to testing and documentation
- Eagerness to learn new concepts, ask questions, and proactively contribute to team efforts
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Team-oriented mindset and a willingness to follow standard operating procedures
Nice to Have (Not Mandatory)
Candidates with the following additional skills or experiences will stand out:
- Familiarity with CAD software or 3D modeling tools
- Experience in electronics debugging or soldering
- Exposure to structured testing methodologies and documentation
- Interest in Internet-of-Things (IoT) devices or smart energy hardware solutions
